Curriculum Vitae

Wade Jacobsen is an associate professor at the University of Maryland in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice and research affiliate at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Crime, Security and Law. His research examines how risky behaviors in childhood, adolescence, and young adulthood are shaped by interactions with institutions (e.g., schools or the criminal legal system) and social networks. At the Institute, Dr. Jacobsen is involved in the Peer Dynamics project, which uses virtual reality technology to examine the influence of peers on decision-making.
