Academic Background
Jochen Jähnke is Head of the IT Section of the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Crime, Security and Law in Freiburg/Germany (MPI). He studied chemistry, mathematics, sociology, psychology, and computer science at the universities of Stuttgart and Freiburg. His master's degree (M.A.) is in computer science, psychology, and sociology. Since 1995 he has been employed at the MPI and – when time permits – he undertakes research in the aforementioned areas.
