Curriculum Vitae
Born in Melbourne, Christopher Murphy studied a combined Arts/Law degree at the Australian National University. He graduated with an honors thesis on the free movement of goods in the European Union. After taking some time off to see the world, he completed his doctoral dissertation on money laundering in the casino industry in 2013.
Christopher Murphy currently works as a translator in the Editing & Press Department. He is also the host of two successful podcasts: The Institute’s very own podcast Doing Time, Talking Crime and the broader Max Planck Lawcast. Last but not least, he is a qualified mediator and has taken on the role of conflict advisor at the Institute.
