Curriculum Vitae
Sera-Maren Wiechert is a psychologist and postdoctoral researcher in the Institute’s Department of Criminology. She earned a joint PhD in legal psychology (2024), awarded by the University of Amsterdam and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her dissertation, Memory on Trial: Investigating the Robustness of Legally Relevant Memory Phenomena, examines the replicability and reproducibility of findings and the adoption of open science practices in legal psychology. Before her PhD, Sera-Maren completed two master’s degrees in psychology (Developmental and Health Psychology as well as a research-focused Psychology Master) at the University of Amsterdam and a bachelor’s degree at Maastricht University, and undertook research and study visits at the University of Sydney and Yale University.
