Curriculum Vitae

Sera-Maren Wiechert is a psychologist and postdoctoral researcher in the Criminology Department of the Max-Planck Institute for the Study of Crime, Security and Law. She completed a joint PhD in Legal Psychology (2024) at the University of Amsterdam and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her dissertation, Memory on Trial: Investigating the Robustness of Legally Relevant Memory Phenomena, examined the replicability, reproducibility, and open science adoption in legal psychological research. Prior to her PhD, she earned two Master's degrees in Psychology from the University of Amsterdam and a Bachelor's degree from Maastricht University, with research and study stays at the University of Sydney and Yale University.
