Case Talks
Case Talks is a new online discussion format where we explore fascinating criminal law cases from both Anglo-American and German legal traditions. The goal is to understand how different legal systems approach similar issues. We aim to foster an open exchange—reflecting, comparing, and engaging in conversation to gain fresh perspectives on long-standing legal questions.

How does it work?
In each session, one participant will briefly introduce a case from their home jurisdiction—whether historical or recent—focusing on a specific legal issue that arises in the case. After this short presentation, we will open the floor for discussion. No pre-read is required. The sessions are interactive and open to participants from different legal backgrounds.
Who can join?
The discussions are especially open to doctoral researchers, postdocs, and beyond, whether from criminal law, philosophy, or related fields. Please note that the language will be English.
