Publications
The Institute’s researchers primarily publish the results of their work in German and international peer-reviewed journals and with German and international publishing houses. The Institute also publishes monographs and anthologies, in a number of book series, together with the academic publishing house Duncker & Humblot. One such series devotes itself to the collection of foreign criminal laws in German or English translation. Furthermore, several researchers at the Institute also act as managing editors of two journals.
Through its SSRN working paper series, the Institute invites scholars and the public to engage critically with important research findings in advance of publication. The paper series also provides open access, when possible, to work by Institute researchers that has already been published.
The editing team at the Institute assists researchers in their editing tasks and in the publication of their research findings. All editors are publication professionals who are proficient in their native languages (German and/or English). Their work covers the entire spectrum of classic publishing activities ranging from copy editing and translating through to typesetting and publication management.
