Main Focus
Sofiya Kartalova has experience conducting interdisciplinary research in the area of EU constitutional law, with a particular focus on ambiguity found in key EU Treaty provisions and leading CJEU preliminary rulings in the area of fundamental rights, freedom of movement, and EU citizenship. Her current research interests include the EU rule of law crisis and intelligence information sharing at EU level, as viewed from the interdisciplinary perspective of trust.
