Otto Hahn Research Groups
The Otto Hahn Research Groups (Otto Hahn Awards) are key instruments for the support of junior scientists who have completed their doctorates. They offer researchers in the postdoctoral stage of their careers the opportunity to further qualify themselves by heading research groups. While the postdocs utilize the infrastructure and administration of a Max Planck Institute, they have their own resources for personnel and materials. As group leaders who design and run their own research projects independently, they can build a solid foundation for successful careers in science or academia.
