“Victimization and Its Consequences for Well-Being”

The article “Victimization and Its Consequences for Well-Being” by Heleen Janssen, Dietrich Oberwittler, and Göran Köber has been featured by Springer Nature in the report '2020's Research Highlights' as highly downloaded article in criminology. The Open Access-published article in the Journal of Quantitative Criminology has been accessed more than 6.400 times since it went online in January 2020. All three authors were collaborating in the research project “Crime, disorder, and social capital in urban neighborhoods (SENSIKO)” at the Max Planck Institute. The longitudinal study on crime and social dynamics in urban neighborhoods in Cologne and Essen is currently being continued by the independent research group Space, Contexts and Crime with a new survey wave (since autumn 2020).
