Jessica Deitzer’s research contextualizes criminal decision-making research with self, social, and environmental factors. Currently, she studies how harsh and unpredictable environments can lead to short-term mindsets and crime. She is also interested in how choices unfold over time, including selection into situations, relationships, and contexts. She uses quantitative and qualitative methodology.
